After more than two decades leading marketing and communications for one of the UK’s fastest-growing accountancy firms, I’ve taken on a new challenge — launching my own strategic advisory business, Pinchbeck Marketing & Advisory.
The new venture brings together my experience in strategic marketing, board governance, and enterprise leadership to support ambitious organisations looking to grow with clarity, confidence and purpose.
From Practice Growth to Strategic Advisory
Over the past 23 years at Streets Chartered Accountants, I’ve had the privilege of helping the firm grow from a regional £5 million practice into a £40 million, 35-office group with a strong UK and international footprint. That journey gave me deep insight into how marketing, leadership and governance combine to drive sustainable growth.
Before joining Streets, I worked in marketing and business consultancy across sectors including professional services, food and drink, manufacturing, engineering, technology and the public sector. Alongside my executive career, I’ve also held a number of board and chair roles in business, enterprise and education – including Chair of Lincoln College Group, Chair of the University of Lincoln International Business School Advisory Board, and Chair of the Greater Lincolnshire Growth Hub Business Advisory Board.
Those experiences have shaped my belief that strong marketing leadership and effective governance are inseparable when it comes to building organisations that truly perform and endure.
What Pinchbeck Marketing & Advisory Offers
The new consultancy provides:
Strategic Marketing Consultancy – helping organisations define, refine and deliver their market strategy.
Fractional Marketing Leadership – bringing senior marketing expertise to growing businesses on a flexible basis.
Non-Executive & Board Advisory – strengthening board governance, strategy and decision-making.
At the heart of it all is a focus on aligning marketing performance with organisational purpose and accountability. I’m particularly keen to help leaders navigate the opportunities and challenges of AI in marketing, ensuring performance remains meaningful, measurable and human.
A Journey with Purpose
To mark the launch, I’ll be cycling from Hull to Cambridge in aid of Prostate Cancer UK — a route that symbolically connects the regions where I’ve built lasting relationships and will continue to work: Hull and East Yorkshire, Lincolnshire, the East Midlands, Cambridge, the East of England, and London.
I was due to take part in Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 in Glasgow earlier this year to raise funds for Prostate Cancer UK and promote awareness of stage 4 cancer. When that ride didn’t happen, it felt right to create one of my own — linking my professional journey to a cause that matters deeply.
